Over this Thanksgiving holiday I had occasion to get out on a tennis court with my 6-year-old daughter. I was standing at the net feeding her some soft shots, and she was doing her best to hit them back. All at once she smacked a really good shot back over the net that went right by my head. She said “Why didn’t you hit it?” I replied that I wasn’t really expecting her shot to be that good. She retorted: “Well, EXPECT IT!!”
